Brown Heavy Cotton Twill Games Trousers
These trousers were made as the companion to Drake's Games Blazer, so the pair can be worn as an informal suit that sits between tailoring and workwear. The shape looks back to the middle of the last century, with a high rise that sits just above the hip, a full leg and a single pleat, narrowing a little below the knee. Side adjusters, belt loops and a concealed fob pocket give them a practical character. They are cut from a heavy Yorkshire cotton twill, made in Italy, and meant for wear through the year, with the blazer or apart from it.

Di Sondrio Walnut Stretch Chino
We picked a solid walnut brown cotton twill from Tessuti di Sondrio because it comes closest to the colour and plain twill surface of the original. We kept the single pleats, zip fly with button fastening, belt loops, side seam pockets and a plain hem, and chose dark charcoal horn buttons to match the dark buttons on the Drake's pair. Proper Cloth offers no side adjusters or concealed fob pocket, so we used belt loops alone and a standard coin pocket for small items. The cloth is a little lighter than Drake's heavy twill and has a small amount of elastane, which is within our tolerance.
Tessuti di Sondrio, an Italian mill with more than a century of weaving behind it, makes this solid walnut brown cotton twill, with 2% elastane for a little give. It is a medium heavyweight cloth with a smooth, firm hand, suited to wear in all seasons. It should hold its shape well in everyday use.
