Army Green Cotton Drawstring Fatigue Trouser
This is a flat-fronted fatigue trouser in army green cotton canvas. It takes its shape and pockets from military field trousers and its waist from old athletic wear, with a drawstring hidden inside the waistband so the outside stays plain. The Japanese canvas is peached to soften the hand, and the trouser is made in Portugal. It is meant as a relaxed everyday trouser, worn with casual shirts and knitwear.

Olive Reverse Sateen Faded Fatigue Pant
We chose a faded olive reverse sateen from Japan because it is the nearest Proper Cloth match to the colour and soft, worn-in surface of the peached canvas. We set the fatigue front and back pockets, a button fly, brown horn buttons, no pleats and an internal drawstring elastic waistband to follow the original's layout and clean waist. Proper Cloth offers no matching canvas, so we accepted a sateen weave that is heavier and has a little stretch in it, and we left off coin and cargo pockets.
A Japanese reverse sateen in a faded olive, woven so the matte back of the sateen is the face, which gives a dry, slightly rustic texture rather than a sheen. At 325 g it is a medium-heavy cotton with 2% elastane for a little give, and it should soften and fade further with washing.
