Olive Drab Cotton Drawstring Trouser
Drake's fatigue trouser takes its cut and pockets from military work clothing and its waist from old athletic wear. A drawstring sits inside the waistband, so the front stays flat and needs no belt, and the slanted patch pockets at the hips follow the pattern of field trousers. It is cut straight and fairly loose to the ankle in a midweight Japanese cotton twill, and it is made to be worn every day with casual shirts and knitwear.

Olive Reverse Sateen Faded Fatigue Pant
We picked a Japanese cotton in a faded olive close to the original's drab green, with a firm, slightly rough surface to match the solid hand of the Drake's twill. We set the vintage chino cut with fatigue front and back pockets, a button-through rear flap, a zip fly, no pleats, a plain hem and an internal drawstring on an elastic waistband. Proper Cloth had no pure cotton twill of this kind, so we used a reverse sateen with a small amount of elastane. We chose mid brown horn buttons to match the brown buttons on the original.
A Japanese reverse sateen in a faded olive, mostly cotton with 2% elastane, at about 325 g. It is a medium heavyweight cloth with a slightly rustic, textured surface, and its washed-out colour should soften further as it is worn.
