Navy Pinstripe Wool-Cotton Single Pleat Trouser
The house trouser from Drake's, here cut in a navy pinstripe of Italian character. It sits at a mid-rise with a single reverse pleat, and the leg runs clean with a gentle taper, sharp in line but not narrow. The cloth blends wool and cotton with a small share of metallic fibre, which gives a familiar city stripe a crisp handle and a little more depth. Side adjusters, an extended tab front and an after-dinner split make it a trouser meant to be worn with tailoring or more casually.

Navy Pinstripe S130s Wool Dress Pant
We chose an all-wool navy pinstripe twill from the Italian mill Drago, as the closest match to the colour, stripe and twill surface of the original, though without its cotton and metallic content. We set a single pleat, an extended button tab, side seam pockets, a buttoned rear pocket, a curtained waistband and lining to the knee to follow the Drake's construction. The made-to-order version has belt loops where the original has side adjusters, and a plain hem without a cuff rather than an unfinished one.
A navy pinstripe twill woven by Drago in Italy from Super 130s merino wool, at 330 grams. It has the smooth, fine hand of a high-count worsted, with a neat pinstripe on a dark navy ground, and suits regular wear as a dress trouser.
