Olive Mid-Wale Corduroy Flat Front Trouser
Drake's cuts this trouser in olive mid-wale corduroy on its mid-rise house pattern, with a flat front and a slight narrowing below the knee. It borrows the finishing of tailored trousers: an extended tab front, an internal French bearer, a curtained waistband, a split at the back of the waistband and a prong keeper in place of belt loops. It is made in Italy and half lined. It ships with the hems left unfinished so they can be taken up to length, and it is cut to be worn through most of the year, either on its own or with the matching jacket.

Stratton Fatigue Stretch Corduroy
We chose a fatigue green 13-wale corduroy because it comes closest to the olive colour and mid-wale rib of the original. We kept the flat front, the button and zip fly, the side seam pockets and the horn buttons. Proper Cloth's chino model has no beltless option with a prong keeper, so we used belt loops and a standard chino waistband with a button tab. The hem is finished to length rather than left open.
A Spanish corduroy from the Stratton range, with a soft 13-wale rib and a deep fatigue green colour. At 345 g it sits at the heavier end of midweight, and its 2% elastane gives it a little stretch. It is best suited to autumn and winter.
