Lovat Cotton Drill Flat Front Trouser
A flat-front trouser in lovat green cotton drill, cut to Drake's mid-rise house pattern with a slim line through the leg and a gentle taper below the knee. The waist has the finishing of tailored trousers: an extended tab with a button, an internal French bearer, a curtained waistband and an after-dinner split at the back. It is made in Italy and half lined. It can be worn as separate trousers through the year or as a suit with the matching jacket.

Olive Reverse Sateen Faded Fatigue Pant
We looked for a solid green cotton with a visible surface and settled on a faded olive reverse sateen woven in Japan, which comes close to the muted green of the lovat drill. We set the trouser up as a dress pant with no pleats, an extended tab fastened by a button, belt loops, a zip fly and horn buttons, so that the front and waist read much like the original. Proper Cloth offers side seam pockets rather than the original's vertical front pockets, and the trouser comes with a blind hem instead of an unfinished one. The cloth carries a small amount of elastane, which the all-cotton drill does not.
A Japanese reverse sateen in faded olive, woven so the textured back of the sateen faces out, which gives it a slightly rustic, matt surface rather than a sheen. At 325 g it is a fairly substantial cotton with 2% elastane for a little give, and its washed, faded colour suits casual wear.
