Olive Mid-Wale Corduroy Single Pleat Trouser
This is a single-pleat trouser in mid-wale cotton corduroy, cut to Drake's house pattern with a mid rise and a leg that narrows gently below the knee. It is made in Italy and follows tailored trouser construction: it is half lined, has side adjusters instead of belt loops, an extended front tab, a curtained waistband with an internal French bearer, and a split in the rear waistband. The pleat gives room through the hip and thigh. It is meant as a year-round trouser that sits between tailoring and casual dress, and it ships with unfinished hems so the length can be set to the wearer.

Stratton Fatigue Stretch Corduroy
We chose a solid fatigue green corduroy from Spain because its wale and colour come close to the original's mid-wale olive. We kept a single pleat, an extended tab with a button, a zip fly and horn buttons, so the front reads the same. Proper Cloth's casual trouser options gave us belt loops and side seam pockets, so we accepted belt loops in place of side adjusters, and we had the hem finished to length rather than left open.
A 13-wale cotton corduroy woven in Spain, sold as Stratton, in a solid fatigue green with a soft, velvety pile. At 345 g it is a medium heavy cloth, warmer than most chino twills. It contains 2% elastane for a little give, and it is best suited to autumn and winter.
