Green Japanese Selvedge Needlecord Five-Pocket Trousers
Drake's applies the familiar five-pocket jean pattern to a fine Japanese needlecord, giving a trouser that sits between denim and tailored cords. The cloth is all cotton and woven on selvedge looms, and the trousers are made in Portugal. They have a straight leg, slanted front pockets and copper rivets, and are meant for everyday casual wear through the cooler months.

Stratton Fatigue Stretch Corduroy
We chose an olive fatigue green corduroy to match the colour and soft ribbed surface of the original, and kept the plain solid look. We set the trousers in a five-pocket pattern with a coin pocket, belt loops, a flat front, copper metal tack buttons and a chain-stitched hem. Proper Cloth offers no Japanese selvedge needlecord, so we accepted a slightly wider 13-wale cord from Spain with a little stretch.
A 13-wale corduroy woven in Spain from 98% cotton and 2% elastane, weighing about 345 g. It has a soft, velvety pile in a deep fatigue green. The small amount of stretch gives some ease in wear, and the cloth suits autumn and winter.
