Navy Japanese Selvedge Needlecord Five-Pocket Trousers
Drake's five-pocket trouser applies the familiar jeans pattern to a fine needlecord woven in Japan on selvedge looms. It is cut with a mid-rise and a slim, straight leg, and finished with copper hardware, slanted front pockets and visible stitching. Made in Portugal in all-cotton navy cord, it is meant as an everyday trouser that pairs as readily with knitwear and casual shirts as a pair of jeans does.

Italian Navy Corduroy 5-Pocket Pant
We kept the navy colour, the solid all-cotton corduroy and the five-pocket pattern, and set belt loops, a zip fly, copper metal buttons and no pleats to match. Proper Cloth does not offer a Japanese selvedge needlecord, so we chose its Italian navy cotton corduroy, which has a broader 12-wale rib and considerably more weight. The cut is Proper Cloth's straight five-pocket shape, made in a slim fit with a chain-stitched hem.
A heavy Italian cotton corduroy of about 525 g, in plain navy with a soft, velvety 12-wale rib. Because it contains no stretch fibre, it should soften with wear and fade gradually along the ribs.
