Ecru Cotton Twill Single-Pleat Shorts
Drake's single-pleat shorts are cut in an ecru Italian cotton twill and made in Portugal. They borrow the construction of tailored trousers: a mid rise, one forward pleat on each side, a neat leg, a zip fly with button fastening, and side adjusters alongside belt loops. The aim is a pair of summer shorts formal enough to wear with a button-down shirt and loafers, yet relaxed enough for a polo.

Di Sondrio Off White Stretch Cotton Chino
We chose an off-white cotton twill from Tessuti di Sondrio because it comes close to the pale ecru and the Italian twill of the original. We set the details to follow Drake's: single pleats, a zip fly, belt loops and mid brown horn buttons to match the brown button at the waistband. Proper Cloth has no side adjusters of the same kind, so we chose a tab that buttons through at the waistband instead. The design is recorded as a chino with a standard hem, and no shorts length is given.
A four-season twill from Tessuti di Sondrio, an Italian mill with a long history, woven from cotton with 2% elastane for a little stretch. It is a medium heavyweight solid in off-white, with a smooth, firm hand and enough structure to keep its shape through regular wear.
