Navy Cotton Twill Single-Pleat Shorts
Drake's made these navy shorts as a warm-weather piece that still has a tailored look. They are cut from an Italian cotton twill and made in Italy, with a mid-rise, a single pleat and a neat leg, so they sit somewhere between casual chinos and tailoring. The waist has a button and zip fly, belt loops and side adjusters. They are meant to go with anything from a polo shirt to a light button-down and loafers.

Single Pleated Di Sondrio Navy Stretch Cotton Chino
We picked a dark navy twill from Tessuti di Sondrio, an Italian mill, to match the colour, weave and plain solid surface of the original. We set the design to match its main features: a single pleat, angled side pockets, a button and zip fly, belt loops and horn buttons. Proper Cloth offered no side adjusters with this design, so we relied on belt loops alone. The cloth has a small amount of elastane, and we accepted it as within tolerance.
A solid dark navy cotton twill woven in Italy by Tessuti di Sondrio, with 2% elastane for some give. It is on the heavier side of medium weight and has a smooth, firm hand that holds its shape in everyday wear.
