Dark Navy Fresco® Wool Single Pleat Trouser
Drake's house trouser, made in Italy in a dark navy fresco from a Yorkshire mill. It has a mid-rise, single reverse pleats and a clean leg that tapers gently, so it is sharp in line without being slim. The waist is finished in the traditional way with side adjusters, an extended tab and a French bearer, and the cloth is open and springy, so it suits warmer days and goes as well with tailoring as with knitwear.

Loro Piana Fabric Navy Sopra Visso Fresco Dress Pant
We chose a navy Loro Piana wool sold under its Sopra Visso fresco name, which keeps the dark solid colour and a weight close to the original. We matched the single pleat, the extended button tab with zip fly, the dark horn buttons and the knee lining. The options as built use belt loops rather than side adjusters, and the record lists no after-dinner split, curtained waistband or French bearer, so these features are not part of this version.
A navy solid in pure wool from Loro Piana in Italy, at 345 g and rated medium heavyweight. It is sold as a fresco but listed with a serge weave, so it should have a smooth, firm hand and wear as a hardy, year-round trouser cloth.
