Navy Wool Flannel Flat Front Trousers
A pair of flat-front trousers in navy wool flannel, cut to Drake's mid-rise house pattern and made in Italy. Without pleats they sit closer to the body, and the leg narrows gently below the knee to give a clean line. The waistband carries a run of traditional tailoring details, and the trousers are offered as separates or as part of a suit with a matching jacket. They are intended to be worn through most of the year, either with tailoring or more casually.

VBC Navy Wool Flannel Dress Pant
We chose a solid navy wool flannel from Vitale Barberis Canonico to match the colour and the brushed, soft surface of the original. We kept the front flat and added an extended button tab, a zip fly, angled side pockets and dark brown horn buttons to echo the original's horn-tone fastenings. Proper Cloth's options do not include the curtained waist, internal French bearer or after-dinner split, so we built a plainer waistband with belt loops. We also chose knee lining where the original is half lined.
A solid navy merino wool flannel woven by Vitale Barberis Canonico in Biella, Italy, at 340 g. It has a brushed, soft surface and a fairly substantial weight, which makes it best suited to autumn and winter.
