Navy Cotton Drill Single Pleat Trouser
This is Drake's house trouser in a plain navy cotton drill. It has a mid-rise cut with a single forward pleat for ease of movement and a gentle taper below the knee. Tailoring details include an extended tab front, side adjusters instead of belt loops, a curtained waistband and an after-dinner split at the back. The trouser is made in Italy and intended for wear in any season, either on its own or as part of a matching suit.

Navy Cadet Chino
We chose a substantial navy two-ply cotton twill, which comes close to the firm, solid drill of the original. We kept the single pleats, the extended tab with a button-through closure and the zip fly, and chose chestnut horn buttons to match the horn-look button on the original. Where the Drake's trouser has side adjusters and comes unhemmed, this version was made with belt loops and a blind hem, and its cut is a higher rise with a looser leg.
A navy two-ply cotton twill woven in Portugal, at about 9.6oz (325 g). It is a left-hand twill, heavier than most chino cloths, with a firm hand that keeps its shape and softens gradually as it is washed. The colour is plain navy with no pattern.
