Navy Cotton Jogging Bottoms
These navy jogging bottoms take their cue from American athletic clothing of the middle of the last century. They are cut from a heavy, dense cotton jersey, with a flat drawstring waist, ribbed cuffs at the ankle and slanted side pockets. Chain stitching along the seams adds to the period character. They are made in Portugal, cut to a tapered leg, and intended for off-duty wear, either alone or with the matching sweatshirt.

Di Sondrio Navy Stretch Cotton Chino
Proper Cloth does not offer a heavy cotton jersey, so we chose a solid navy cotton twill with a little stretch, which gives a similar colour and some of the same ease. We followed the original's shape by setting a jogger cut with an elasticated drawstring waist, angled side pockets, no pleats and gathered jogger cuffs at the ankle. Proper Cloth's chino construction brings a zip fly, horn buttons and back pockets that the original's description does not mention, and the ribbed knit cuffs and chain-stitched seams have no equivalent in its options.
The cloth is a medium-heavy cotton twill from the Italian mill Tessuti di Sondrio, made of 98% cotton with 2% elastane for a modest stretch. It is a plain, solid navy with a smooth surface and enough body to keep its shape, and it is suited to wear in every season.
