Navy Linen-Cotton Single-Pleat Trouser
This is the house trouser from Drake's, cut in a navy linen and cotton cloth from an Italian merchant and made in Italy. It sits at a mid-rise with a single reverse pleat, and the leg tapers gently so that it looks clean without being narrow. The tailoring details are discreet: an extended tab front over a French bearer, side adjusters instead of belt loops, curtaining inside the waistband, a half lining to the knee and an after-dinner split at the back. It is meant as a versatile warm-weather trouser that can be worn with tailoring or more casually.

Navy Linen Palermo Pant
We chose a solid navy pure linen from Portugal because it comes closest to the colour and dry, textured surface of the original's linen and cotton blend. We set a single pleat, a zip fly with a button-through extended tab, side seam pockets and horn buttons so that the front reads much as the original does. Proper Cloth's chino configuration uses belt loops and a standard waistband rather than side adjusters and a curtained waist with a French bearer, so we accepted belt loops and a finished hem in place of those features.
A pure linen plain weave, woven in Portugal and listed as medium weight, in solid navy. It has a soft hand and an open, natural slub texture that breathes well in heat, and it creases readily with wear.
