Navy Cotton Twill Field Games Trouser
This is a pleated cotton trouser cut to pair with Drake's Field Games Blazer. The two pieces make a soft, informal suit that sits between tailoring and workwear. The cut looks back to the middle of the last century, with a high rise, a full thigh and single pleats, and the leg narrows slightly towards the ankle. Side adjusters, belt loops and a small fob pocket add practical detail, and it is meant to be worn often as an everyday trouser, with or without its jacket.

Single Pleated Di Sondrio Navy Stretch Cotton Chino
We chose a dark navy cotton twill from an Italian mill because it is the closest match in colour, weave and solid finish to the Japanese twill of the original. We set single pleats, a zip fly with a button, belt loops, horn buttons and a plain hem to follow the Drake's trouser. Proper Cloth's chino pattern offered no side adjusters and no concealed fob pocket, so we used belt loops alone and a standard coin pocket. At the back we chose an angled flap pocket that buttons through, in place of the original's welted button-flap pocket.
A solid dark navy twill woven in Italy by Tessuti di Sondrio, in cotton with 2% elastane. It is a medium heavyweight cloth with a smooth, firm hand, and the small amount of elastane lets it give a little with movement.
