Navy Antique Linen Games Trousers
Drake's made these navy linen trousers as the partner to its Games Blazer, so the two can be worn together as a relaxed suit that sits somewhere between tailoring and workwear. The cut is mid-century: a high rise finishing just above the hip, a single pleat at the front, and a full leg that narrows slightly below the knee. Side adjusters and a hidden fob pocket give them a practical, utilitarian side. They are made in Italy from Irish linen with a washed finish, and are meant to be worn alone through the year or with the matching jacket.
In Proper Cloth
Navy Linen Palermo Pant
We picked a solid navy plain-weave linen from Proper Cloth because it matches the original's colour, fibre and soft, worn-in surface. We built the pattern on Proper Cloth's chino block and set single pleats, side seam pockets, belt loops, a zip fly and dark horn buttons to follow the Drake's details. Proper Cloth does not offer side adjusters or a concealed fob pocket on this style, so we used belt loops alone and an angled flap pocket at the back.
A pure linen in solid navy, woven in Portugal in a plain weave of medium weight. It feels soft from the start, shows the natural slub of the fibre, and creases readily as it is worn.
