Navy Irish Linen Single Pleat Trouser
This is the trouser half of a navy linen summer suit, cut from linen woven and dyed in Ireland and made up in Italy. It follows a tailored approach to hot-weather dressing, with tailoring details kept to a minimum: an extended front tab, side adjusters in place of belt loops, a curtained waistband and an after-dinner split at the back. It is half lined, sold without finished hems, and meant to be worn with its matching jacket or on its own.

Navy Linen Palermo Pant
We chose a solid navy plain-weave linen from Portugal as the closest available match to the Irish cloth in colour and texture. We made it up as a dress trouser rather than in the cloth's usual casual drawstring cut, with a single pleat, side seam pockets, a zip fly with a button fastening, dark horn buttons and button-through rear pockets, all set to follow the original. Proper Cloth's options gave us a standard waistband with belt loops in place of the extended tab and side adjusters, and we finished the trouser with a blind hem.
A pure linen in a plain weave, woven in Portugal and dyed a solid navy. It is listed as medium weight but is soft to the hand, shows the natural slub of the linen, and creases readily with wear.
