Navy Linen Single Pleat Trouser
This is the house trouser from Drake's, made in Italy from navy linen for warm weather. It has a mid-rise, single reverse pleats and a leg that tapers gently and falls straight, so the line is neat without being slim. Side adjusters replace belt loops, and the front closes with an extended tab over a French bearer. The trouser works with tailoring or with casual clothes, and it ships unhemmed so the length can be set for each wearer.

Navy Linen Palermo Pant
We chose a solid navy linen in plain weave, woven in Portugal, to match the colour and the open, textured surface of the Florentine cloth. We set the trouser up as a dress pant with single pleats, side seam pockets, a button and zip fly, an extended button-through tab and slate horn buttons, which follows the original's front closely. Proper Cloth's build has belt loops rather than side adjusters, so we used belt loops. The hem is blind-stitched to length because the original's unfinished hem is not offered.
A pure linen woven in Portugal in a plain weave, solid navy, which Proper Cloth lists as medium weight although it is described as light and airy. The handle is soft from the start rather than crisp. Like any linen it creases readily with wear and breathes well in heat.
