Navy Herringbone Cotton Games Trousers
Drake's made these trousers as the partner to its Games Blazer, so that the two can be worn together as a relaxed two-piece or apart as everyday trousers. The shape draws on mid-century casual tailoring: a high rise that sits just above the hip, a full leg with single pleats, and a gentle taper below the knee. Side adjusters, belt loops and a hidden fob pocket give them a practical, workwear character. They are made in Italy from a midweight herringbone cotton woven in Valtellina, and they ship with unfinished hems.

Navy Cadet Chino
We chose a navy two-ply cotton twill in a medium heavy weight, as the closest match among Proper Cloth's cloths to the colour, solidity and practical feel of the original. We set a high rise, a loose leg, single pleats, a button and zip fly, belt loops, side seam pockets and chestnut horn buttons to follow the Drake's cut. Proper Cloth offered no herringbone cotton of this kind, so we used a plain twill. Its options also have no side adjusters or concealed fob pocket, so we used belt loops alone and a standard coin pocket.
A navy two-ply cotton twill woven in Portugal, at about 9.6oz (roughly 325 g per square metre). It is a left-hand twill, which drapes a little more softly than a right-hand weave. The cloth is firm and substantial, holds its shape without stretch, and softens slowly with repeated washing.
