Olive Irish Linen Flat Front Trouser
This is the trouser half of a summer linen suit, cut in an Irish linen that was woven and dyed in Ireland to the house's specification and made up in Italy. It follows the house mid-rise pattern, with a flat front and a slimmer leg that narrows gently below the knee. The finishing is in the tailoring tradition: an extended front tab, an internal French bearer with a curtained waistband, a split at the back of the waist and a prong keeper to hold a belt buckle in place. It is half lined, intended to be worn with its matching jacket or on its own in warm weather, and it is sold with the hems left open for finishing to length.

Laurel Linen Palermo Pant
We chose a solid plain-weave linen in a muted green as the nearest available match to the olive of the original, and made it up as a dress trouser rather than in the drawstring style that Proper Cloth usually shows this cloth in. We kept a flat front, a mid-rise chino waistband with an extended tab buttoned through, a zip fly, side seam pockets and horn buttons. The French bearer, curtained waistband, back split and half lining of the original were not among the options set, so the trouser has a simpler interior with belt loops and a blind hem.
A 100% linen in plain weave, woven in Portugal and listed at medium weight, with a soft hand and the visible slub of natural linen. The colour is a faded laurel green, a solid shade a little lighter and greener than a classic olive, and the cloth creases readily as it is worn.
