Khaki Herringbone Cotton Wide Leg Flat Front Chino
A khaki chino in a Japanese herringbone cotton of 7.8oz, made up in Italy. The cut sits high on the waist with a flat front and a wide leg, taking its line from mid-century trousers while keeping the proportions wearable. The cloth is finished with a softened, slightly worn handle, so the trousers feel settled from the first wear and are meant to soften further with use. Belt loops, a button fly, vertical side pockets and a coin pocket complete a plain, practical pattern.

Di Sondrio Khaki Heavyweight Heirloom Chino
We chose a khaki cotton twill from Tessuti di Sondrio because it matches the colour and the all-cotton composition, and set the trousers in Proper Cloth's vintage chino style with no pleats, a button fly, belt loops, side seam pockets and a besom coin pocket. The back pocket is a flap fastened with a button, as on the original, and the buttons are chestnut horn to stand in for the dark horn tone of Drake's. Proper Cloth did not offer this khaki in herringbone, so we accepted a plain twill, and the cloth is a far heavier dense 3-ply weave rather than a midweight with a broken-in finish.
A very heavy 100% cotton twill woven in Italy by Tessuti di Sondrio, listed at 535 g, in a solid khaki. It is a dense 3-ply construction with a smooth face, modelled on mid-twentieth-century military officer chinos, and is built to be durable and to keep its shape over long wear.
