Beige Cotton Officer’s Chino
Drake's officer's chino brings together two of the house's trouser lines, the fatigue and the chino. From its Games Trouser it takes a high waist, a coin pocket and a full leg that tapers gently, and adds rear pockets and internal reinforcement for extra use. It is cut from a dry Japanese cotton twill and made in Portugal, and is intended as an everyday trouser for any season.

Di Sondrio Khaki Heavyweight Heirloom Chino
We chose a solid khaki cotton twill from Tessuti di Sondrio because its colour and dense twill come close to the beige of the original, and because the cloth itself is modelled on mid-century military officer chinos. We set a button fly, belt loops, angled front pockets and a coin pocket at the waist to match the original's main details. Proper Cloth offers its tab with a button through it rather than a hook and bar, so we used that, and we chose angled flap back pockets for the rear pockets that Drake's mentions but does not show. The cloth is a good deal heavier than Drake's midweight twill, and we accepted that for its durability and closer military character.
An Italian cotton from Tessuti di Sondrio, woven as a dense three-ply twill at about 535 g with a smooth finish. It is a solid khaki, heavy and firm in the hand, and made to take years of hard wear.
