Sand Heavy Cotton Flat Front Chino
Drake's flat-front chino is a sturdy everyday trouser cut from a compact Italian cotton twill weighing 9.5oz, in a pale sand colour. Its shape looks back to mid-century work and service trousers, with a high rise that sits just above the hip and a full, straight leg. Side adjusters are added alongside the belt loops, so it can be worn with or without a belt, and an internal French bearer finishes the waistband. It is made in Portugal and is meant as a dependable base for a casual wardrobe.

Di Sondrio Khaki Heavyweight Heirloom Chino
We chose a dense Italian cotton twill from Tessuti di Sondrio because it matches the original's solid, compact chino cloth and its Italian origin. We set the trouser flat-fronted with belt loops, a zip fly, mid brown horn buttons, vertical side seam pockets and a buttoned flap back pocket, on Proper Cloth's vintage chino pattern with a wide hem to approach the full mid-century leg. Proper Cloth did not offer the side adjusters or the French bearer here, so the waist relies on belt loops alone and uses Proper Cloth's split back waistband. The closest cloth is heavier than Drake's and leans slightly more towards khaki than sand.
A heavyweight 100% cotton chino cloth woven in Italy by Tessuti di Sondrio, listed at 535 g. It is a dense three-ply twill with a smooth finish, in a plain khaki, and is made to stand up to long, hard wear.
