Sand Textured Cotton Flat Front Chino
Drake's flat-front chino in sand is cut from a 9.5oz Italian cotton twill brushed to a soft, peachy handle and made in Portugal. Its shape looks back to mid-century work and service trousers, with a high rise that sits just above the hip and a full leg that narrows only slightly to the hem. Side adjusters are fitted alongside the belt loops, so it can be worn with or without a belt, and it is intended as a plain, adaptable trouser for everyday dress.

Di Sondrio Khaki Heavyweight Heirloom Chino
We chose a solid khaki cotton twill from Tessuti di Sondrio, keeping the Italian origin, the all-cotton content and the sand-to-khaki colour of the original. We set a flat front, side seam pockets that follow the vertical line of Drake's pockets, belt loops, a zip fly, horn buttons and a plain standard hem, with the Vintage Chino cut in a high rise and loose fit to approach the full, high-waisted shape. Proper Cloth does not list side adjusters for this trouser, so it relies on belt loops alone, and the closest back pocket option was an angled flap. The cloth is considerably heavier and smoother than Drake's brushed midweight twill, which changes how the trouser drapes and feels.
A dense three-ply cotton twill woven in Italy by Tessuti di Sondrio, listed at 535 g and classed as very heavyweight. It is a plain khaki with a smooth, clean finish, modelled on the officer chinos of the Second World War era, and it is built to be hard wearing and to soften slowly with long use.
