ALD / Drake's Chalkstripe Suit Trouser
This chalkstripe suit trouser comes from the ALD collaboration with Drake's. It is cut to the house mid-rise pattern in a charcoal-grey wool flannel. A single forward pleat gives room through the seat and thigh, and the leg tapers gently below the knee. With side adjusters in place of belt loops, an extended tab and a split at the rear of the waistband, it is meant to be worn with its matching jacket as a suit, or on its own with tailoring.

VBC Grey Chalkstripe Wool Flannel Downing Suit
We chose a grey chalkstripe merino flannel from Vitale Barberis Canonico to match the colour, stripe and brushed surface of the original cloth. The trouser is set as a dress trouser with single pleats, an extended button tab, a zip fly, side seam pockets and back pockets with buttons, and is made as part of a matching two-button suit. Proper Cloth's design as made uses belt loops rather than side adjusters, and the cloth it offers is listed as medium heavyweight, so the trouser will be warmer than the 11.2oz original.
A grey chalkstripe flannel in 100% merino wool, woven by Vitale Barberis Canonico in Biella. It has a brushed, softly napped surface and is listed as medium heavyweight, which makes it best suited to autumn and winter.
