ALD / Drake's Garment Dyed Carpenter Pant
A carpenter trouser made in collaboration with ALD, cut from a garment-dyed canvas of cotton and linen. The design comes from American workwear, with a reinforced double knee, a hammer loop and extra patch pockets on the legs. The leg is slim and straight with a mid-rise, so it can be worn in place of jeans with most casual clothes.

Natural Undyed Canvas 5-Pocket Pant
We chose an undyed, untreated cotton canvas in a natural ecru, which comes close to the pale off-white of the original and has a similar plain, dry surface. We matched the angled front pockets, square patch back pockets, zip fly, belt loops and a single horn button, and kept the leg straight and without pleats. Proper Cloth's trouser options do not include a double knee, hammer loop or leg pockets, so we left out the carpenter details and made a plain work trouser in the same cloth and colour. The rise is high rather than mid.
A 12oz plain-weave cotton canvas from Portugal, sold undyed and unfinished in its natural ecru, which looks a little warmer than white or beige. It is rigid with no stretch, firm and full in the hand, and softens with washing and wear.
