Light Green Cotton Fatigue Trouser
Drake's fatigue trouser is a casual trouser based on mid-century military uniforms. It sits high on the waist and has a full leg that tapers gently, a cut that recalls tailoring of that period. The cloth is a Japanese satin-back cotton, the type once used for service dress, and it is made in Portugal. It suits everyday wear in most seasons, with a belt or with the side adjusters.

Olive Reverse Sateen Faded Fatigue Pant
We chose a Japanese reverse sateen because it is close to the satin-back cotton of the original and has a similar dry, slightly rustic surface. Its faded olive is the nearest available shade to Drake's light green, though it is a little deeper. We set a high rise, a straight, unpleated leg, a button fly, belt loops and flapped rear patch pockets that button through, with chestnut horn buttons in place of the tortoise-effect ones. Proper Cloth does not offer the slanted front pockets or side adjusters, so we used its fatigue patch pockets at the hip and kept the belt loops alone.
A Japanese reverse sateen at about 325 g, so it is a medium-heavy cotton with a satin-back face and a faintly textured, washed surface. It is a solid faded olive. The cloth contains 2% elastane, which gives a little give at the seat and knee without making it feel stretchy.
