Stone Wash 13.2oz Seamless Denim Five-Pocket Jeans
Drake's five-pocket jeans follow the long-established pattern of the Western work jean, made up in Portugal from Italian denim. The cloth is dyed with natural indigo, woven to a seamless construction and washed before sale, so it is soft from the first wear. The cut sits a little higher at the waist and is relaxed through the seat and thigh before tapering towards the ankle. They are casual trousers, suited to knitwear, work shirts and plain boots.

Dean Stretch Relaxed Jean in Dark Wash Japanese Denim
We chose a dark wash Japanese indigo denim at 12oz to come close to the deep blue and substantial weight of the 13.2oz original, and set the relaxed fit to match its easy line through the seat and thigh. We kept the classic five-pocket plan with a button fly, belt loops and copper hardware. Proper Cloth does not offer Drake's slanted front pocket, raw leg opening or leather back patch, so we used its standard five-pocket layout and finished the hem with chain stitching. The cloth carries a small amount of elastane, which is within our tolerance for a jean.
A dark wash indigo denim woven in Japan at about 12oz, mostly cotton with 2% elastane for a little give. It has a firm, substantial hand that holds the fuller relaxed cut without collapsing, and its indigo will fade gradually with wear and washing.
