Charcoal Tropical Wool Flat Front Trouser
A plain charcoal trouser in Drake's mid-rise house cut, made in Italy for wear through most of the year. It draws on the trousers of classic tailoring: a flat front for a slimmer line, a gentle taper below the knee, and an extended tab closing the waistband. The details sit inside and out of sight, so it can be worn with a jacket or on its own. It ships with unfinished hems so the length can be set by a tailor.

We chose a Loro Piana wool fresco because fresco, like tropical wool, is a high-twist plain weave with a dry, open hand, which suits a solid trouser meant for regular wear. We matched the flat front, extended button tab, zip fly, dark horn buttons, side pockets and buttoned rear pocket. Proper Cloth offers no prong keeper or loopless waist in this build, so ours has belt loops, and it is lined at the knee rather than half lined. The fresco is also heavier than a tropical cloth, and it is listed as grey rather than charcoal.
