Brown Wool-Cotton Single Pleat Trouser
This is Drake's house trouser, made in Italy in a dark brown twill that blends wool and cotton, woven by a mill in Biella. It is cut with a mid-rise and a single reverse pleat for ease, and the leg tapers gently so the line stays clean without becoming narrow. The waist is tailored in the older way, with an extended tab, an internal French bearer, curtaining and side adjusters in place of belt loops. It is meant as an everyday trouser that sits as well with knitwear and casual jackets as with tailoring.

Loro Piana Fabric Brown Sopra Visso Fresco Dress Pant
We kept the solid dark brown and the twill-type surface, and chose a Loro Piana serge in pure wool because no wool-cotton blend of the right colour was available. The single pleats, extended button tab, zip fly, dark brown horn buttons and knee lining are set to match the original. Proper Cloth offered belt loops and side seam pockets rather than side adjusters and slanted pockets, so we took those, and finished the hem plain with no turn-up.
A solid brown serge in pure wool from Loro Piana in Italy, at 345 g, which puts it at the heavier end of medium weight. Its diagonal twill face gives a firm, close cloth that should hold a crease and suit wear through the cooler months.
