Brown Cotton Corduroy Field Games Trousers
Drake's cut these trousers to pair with its Field Games Blazer, so that together the two make a soft two-piece suit somewhere between tailoring and workwear. The pattern draws on mid-century trousers, with a high rise, a fuller leg and a single pleat, and the leg tapers gently to a clean line. They are made in Italy from heavy vintage-style corduroy and have practical fittings such as side adjusters and a small fob pocket. They are meant to be worn every day, either with the matching jacket or on their own.

Italian Dark Brown Cotton Corduroy 5-Pocket Pant
We chose Proper Cloth's heavy Italian cotton corduroy because, at 525 g, it is almost exactly as heavy as the 15.4oz original, and it is all cotton with no stretch. We matched the single pleats, belt loops, zip fly, horn-tone buttons and plain hem, and set the front pockets in the side seams to keep the vertical line of the original. Proper Cloth offers no side adjusters or concealed-button fob pocket, so we used a button-through tab at the waist and an angled flap pocket at the back. A coin pocket gives some of the small utility of the original's fob pocket.
This is a heavy, all-cotton 12-wale corduroy woven in Italy, weighing about 525 g, with a soft, velvety pile in plain dark brown. Because it contains no stretch fibre, it should soften and develop a patina at the wales with wear.
