Ecru 13.2oz Selvedge Denim Five-Pocket Jeans
A new jean for Drake's, cut in undyed ecru selvedge denim woven in Italy and made up in Portugal. The pattern follows the familiar five-pocket workwear model, with a rise set a little higher than usual and a relaxed leg that narrows towards the ankle. Its distinguishing feature is a slanted front pocket opening, and it is finished with copper hardware and a suede patch at the back waist. In a pale shade, it works as a light neutral with tailored or casual pieces.

Cody Stretch Vintage Straight Jean in Cream Japanese Denim
We looked for a pale, undyed-looking denim of similar heft and settled on a 14oz cream cloth from Japan, close to the original's 13.2oz in weight and dry hand. We kept the five-pocket build, belt loops, zip fly and copper hardware, and chose the Vintage Straight cut for its higher rise. Proper Cloth does not offer a slanted front pocket or a tapered version of this cut, so we accepted standard jean pockets and a straighter leg, and added a chain-stitched hem.
A 14oz cream denim woven in Japan by Nihon Menpu, mostly cotton with 2% elastane, with a dry, firm hand. It is stiff and structured when new and should soften with wear while keeping a clean, straight line.
