Ecru 12.7oz Selvedge Denim Five-Pocket Jeans
A pair of five-pocket jeans in undyed ecru denim, introduced as a new jean style for Drake's. The cloth is a 12.7oz selvedge denim woven in Italy, and the jeans are made in Portugal. The cut has a slightly higher rise and a relaxed leg that tapers towards the hem, with copper rivets, slanted front pockets and a suede patch at the back. Pale denim of this kind sits as a neutral and works with knitwear, chambray or tailored jackets in lighter seasons.

Cody Stretch Vintage Straight Jean in Cream Japanese Denim
We chose a cream Japanese denim, the closest Proper Cloth offers to the pale undyed tone of the original, at a weight a little heavier than Drake's 12.7oz. We kept the classic five-pocket layout with a coin pocket, belt loops, metal buttons and a higher-rise Vintage Straight cut. Proper Cloth's options do not include slanted front pockets, copper rivets or a suede patch, so the jeans use the standard five-pocket arrangement with metal tack buttons, a zip fly and a chain-stitched hem.
A 14oz cream denim woven in Japan by Nihon Menpu from 98% cotton and 2% elastane. It is dry, stiff and substantial in hand, and pale enough to wear as a neutral while keeping the structure of a heavy denim.
