Grey Wool Flannel Flat Front Trouser
This charcoal flannel trouser is Drake's mid-rise house cut, made in Italy and sold as part of a suit. It has a flat front for a slimmer line and narrows gently below the knee. Details stay quiet and practical: an extended front tab, an internal French bearer, a curtained waistband with a prong keeper in place of belt loops, and a split at the rear waistband. It is half lined and ships with the hems unfinished so the length can be set by a tailor.

VBC Charcoal Wool Flannel Dress Pant
We chose a solid charcoal merino flannel from Vitale Barberis Canonico to match the original's colour and brushed surface. It is somewhat heavier than Drake's mid-weight cloth. We kept the flat front, extended button tab, zip fly and dark horn buttons. The design as made uses belt loops, side seam pockets and a knee lining. Drake's has no belt loops, uses slanted front pockets and is half lined.
A charcoal merino wool flannel woven by Vitale Barberis Canonico in Biella, Italy, at about 340 g. It is a solid cloth with a brushed, soft surface and is suited to autumn and winter wear.
