Grey Worsted Wool Single Pleat Trouser
This is a mid-rise tailored trouser in charcoal worsted wool, cut with a single pleat to give room through the seat and thigh, and a gentle taper below the knee. It follows the conventions of classic English trouser making, with an extended tab front, French bearer fastening and a curtained waistband. Being half lined and of a midweight cloth, it is intended for wear across the year, either with a tailored jacket or alone with knitwear. It is made in Italy and ships with unfinished hems so the length can be set to the wearer.

Charcoal Wool Dress Pant
We chose a charcoal S110s merino twill from Dino Filarte because it is close to the original in fibre, weave, colour and weight. We set a single pleat, an extended button tab, a zip fly and plain hems without turn-ups so the front of the trouser reads the same. Proper Cloth does not offer side adjusters or a French bearer on this design, so we used belt loops for the waist. In place of the half lining we used a striped knee lining.
A 270 g merino wool twill in S110s quality from the Dino Filarte mill, woven in China. It has a smooth, fairly sleek finish and a dark grey with a subtle sharkskin variation, and it is suited to wear all year round.
