Charcoal Tropical Wool Single Pleat Trouser
A tailored trouser in charcoal tropical merino, cut to Drake's mid-rise house pattern with a single pleat at each side and a gentle taper below the knee. It draws on older bespoke conventions: side adjusters in place of belt loops, an extended tab, a curtained waistband with internal French bearer, and a small split at the back of the waistband. Light, high-twist cloth and a half lining make it suitable for most of the year, worn with a tailored jacket or more casually with knitwear. It is made in Italy and sold with unfinished hems for length to be set.

Charcoal Wool Stretch Dress Pant
We chose Marzotto's charcoal stretch tropical wool, an open, lightly textured Italian cloth in mixed dark greys, as the nearest match to the original's high-twist charcoal merino. We set single pleats, an extended button tab with zip fly, side-seam pockets, button-through rear pockets and dark brown horn buttons to follow the Drake's details. Proper Cloth's build offered belt loops rather than side adjusters in this configuration, and a knee lining rather than a half lining, so we accepted those, and the cloth carries a small amount of stretch.
A tropical wool from Marzotto in Italy, woven in an open plain weave from 98% wool and 2% elastane at about 260 g. It is solid charcoal with a subtly textured surface and varied dark grey tones, breathes well in warm weather and has a little give for comfort.
