Ecru Ramie-Canapa Single-Pleat Trouser
This is Drake's house trouser, cut in a pale ecru cloth for warm weather. It sits at a mid-rise, with a single reverse pleat on each side and a straight leg that tapers gently, so it looks neat without being slim. The cloth mixes ramie with canapa, a hemp fibre. It has something of the dry look of linen but drapes better and keeps its shape longer. The tailoring is quiet: an extended tab front, side adjusters instead of belt loops, a curtained waistband and a small split at the back of the hem. It is meant to be worn with tailoring or casual clothes alike.

Japanese Bone Herringbone Fatigue Pant
We kept the pale, warm off-white of the original and its single pleats, and chose a Japanese cotton in a faded bone colour. It has a herringbone weave, which gives the surface some texture in place of the slubby ramie and hemp. We set single pleats, a zip fly with a button closure and button-through rear pockets to follow the original. Proper Cloth's chino build has belt loops rather than side adjusters, and we chose light brown horn buttons and a finished hem.
A Japanese cotton herringbone in a faded bone colour, weighing around 350 g. That puts it at the heavier end of medium weight. The broken twill gives the plain colour a quiet texture, and the cotton should soften and fade a little more with wear and washing.
