Ecru Cotton-Linen Herringbone Fatigue Trouser
Drake's fatigue trouser takes its cue from mid-century military work clothing, keeping the reinforced pockets and riveted fastenings of the service originals. It is cut with a high rise that sits just above the hip, a full leg through the thigh and a gentle taper below the knee, with a flat front throughout. The cloth is a substantial Italian herringbone of cotton and linen, made up in Portugal, intended to be washed and worn through the year.

Japanese Bone Herringbone Fatigue Pant
We chose a Japanese faded bone herringbone in all cotton, as the nearest Proper Cloth match for the original's pale ecru colour, fine herringbone texture and substantial weight. We set fatigue front and back pockets, a zip fly, belt loops, no pleats and metal tack buttons to echo the original's utility details, with a high-rise vintage chino cut for the mid-century shape. Proper Cloth offers no cotton-linen version of this cloth, so the linen content is lost, and its metal tack buttons stand in for the original's copper rivets.
A Japanese cotton herringbone twill at 350 g, medium heavy in weight, with a faded, slightly washed surface. The colour is a soft bone, a warm off-white between white and khaki, and the fine chevron weave reads as texture rather than pattern. It is a firm, hard-wearing casual cloth suited to regular washing.
