Ecru Denim Games Trousers
Drake's made these trousers as the partner to its Games Blazer, so that the two can be worn together as an informal suit or apart as everyday trousers. The cut borrows from mid-century tailoring, with a high rise that sits just above the hip, a single pleat and a full leg that narrows slightly below the knee. Practical touches such as side adjusters, belt loops and a hidden fob pocket give them a workwear character. The cloth is an undyed ecru denim woven in Italy near Genoa.

Cody Stretch Vintage Straight Jean in Cream Japanese Denim
We chose Proper Cloth's heaviest cream denim to match the pale, solid, substantial cloth of the original. We set the trousers in the chino pattern with single pleats, side seam pockets, a zip fly, belt loops and horn buttons, so the front reads much as the Drake's pair does. Proper Cloth does not offer side adjusters or a concealed fob pocket here, so we kept belt loops alone and used a standard coin pocket, and we fitted angled flap back pockets.
A 14oz denim woven in Japan by Nihon Menpu, in a cream shade, from cotton with 2% elastane. It has a dry, firm hand and a stiff, structured body that should soften gradually with wear.
