Stone Cotton Drill Single Pleat Trouser
Drake's cuts this trouser in a stone cotton drill to its mid-rise house pattern, with a single forward pleat for ease through the hip and a gentle taper below the knee. It draws on classic tailored trouser making, with an extended tab front, a curtained waistband and an after-dinner split at the back, carried out in a hard-wearing casual cloth. Made in Italy and half lined, it is intended for wear across the year, either on its own or as part of a suit with the matching jacket.

Di Sondrio Beige Heavyweight Heirloom Chino
We chose a solid beige cotton twill from Tessuti di Sondrio because its pale sand colour and plain twill surface are close to Drake's stone drill. We matched the single pleats, the extended tab with a button closure, the zip fly and the mid-brown horn buttons. Proper Cloth's options do not include a half lining, curtained waistband or unfinished hem, so we used its standard chino construction and a blind hem. The cloth is also considerably heavier than the original's midweight drill.
A 535 g cotton chino cloth woven by Tessuti di Sondrio in Italy, with a dense three-ply twill and a smooth finish. It is a plain solid beige with a firm, substantial hand, and it is made to wear hard over many years.
