White Linen Button-Down Collar Shirt
This is Drake's button-down collar shirt, a long-standing house style, made here in white Japanese linen for the summer months. The linen is rinse-washed for a softer, more relaxed handle, and the shirt is cut on the brand's casual block and made in Italy with single-needle seams. It keeps the details of classic shirting, including a collar that rolls rather than lies flat, a flapped chest pocket and a box pleat at the back. It is meant to be worn through the warm season, either with tailoring or on its own with casual clothes.

White Washed Linen
We chose a white pure linen in a plain weave because it is close to the original in fibre, colour and weight, and because it is washed after sewing, which gives a similar softened, lived-in finish to the original's rinse wash. We used an unstructured button-down collar, a front placket, a single flapped chest pocket and mother of pearl buttons to match the original's main details. The original has a rounded cuff, a box pleat and a locker loop. In their place we set a one-button barrel cuff, a split yoke and a shallow curved hem, because these were the closest choices available.
A single-ply pure linen woven from 14s yarn in a plain weave, lightweight and open enough to breathe well in hot weather. It is a bright solid white with the slubby, irregular surface typical of linen. Shirts in this cloth are washed after sewing, so they feel soft from the start and pucker slightly at the seams, and the cloth creases easily in wear.
