White Linen Long Point Collar Popover Shirt
A summer shirt in plain white linen, cut as a popover with a half-length button placket rather than a full front opening. It follows the older pullover shirt, a relaxed form suited to warm weather. It is made in Somerset with a long point collar and a single flapped chest pocket, and the cloth is meant to soften and crease with wear. It can be worn open at the neck with tailoring or on its own with casual trousers.

Baird McNutt White Irish Linen
We chose a lightweight white Irish linen in plain weave to match the colour, weight and slightly irregular texture of the original cloth. We set a popover front, a single flap pocket and mother of pearl buttons to follow Drake's design. Proper Cloth offers no long point collar under that name, so we used its soft point collar, and a soft one-button barrel cuff stands in for the rounded cuff. The hem is a shallow curve because a straight hem was not part of this build.
A 100% linen plain weave from Baird McNutt, the Irish mill on the Kellswater River whose history goes back to 1798. It is a lightweight 26s cloth in bright white with linen's typical slub and unevenness, soft in the hand and breathable in heat.
