Cream Ticking Stripe Cotton Oxford Cloth Pocket Button-Down Shirt
This is Drake's oxford button-down in a cream ground with a fine ticking stripe, a variation on the shirt the house treats as central to its range. The type goes back about a century to the American button-down, and Drake's makes its version in its own Somerset factory. A soft, rolling collar, a single flap pocket and a regular cut make it suitable for most occasions, worn either alone or under tailoring.

Washed Off White Lightweight Oxford
We could not find a ticking stripe oxford among Proper Cloth's cloths, so we chose a washed off-white oxford that comes close to the original's cream colour and keeps its oxford texture, though not its stripe. We matched the main details: a soft button-down collar, a one-button cuff, a single flap chest pocket, mother of pearl buttons and a curved hem. Proper Cloth's back is a split yoke rather than a specified box pleat, and its cuff is a barrel style, so the result follows the original in spirit more than line by line.
A plain off-white cotton oxford sold as a lighter alternative to Proper Cloth's heavier oxfords, though its listed weight is medium. It is washed during finishing so that it feels soft from the start, and it keeps the faint basketweave texture of oxford, which tends to soften further with washing.
