Ecru Pinpoint Oxford Cotton Cloth Button-Down Shirt
This is Drake's button-down shirt in ecru pinpoint oxford, a lighter and finer version of the oxford cloth on which the brand has built much of its shirting. The pattern follows the American button-down of the early twentieth century, with a soft collar that rolls rather than lying flat. It is made in the company's Somerset factory with single-needle seams and a floating collar interlining, and is cut to a regular fit so that it can be worn with tailoring or casual clothes.

Washed Off White Lightweight Oxford
We chose a washed off-white oxford from Proper Cloth's lighter oxford range as the nearest match to the ecru pinpoint, keeping a pale, warm solid and a cloth lighter than a standard oxford. We set a soft Ivy button-down collar, a soft one-button cuff, a front placket, a single chest pocket, a curved hem and mother of pearl buttons to follow the original. Proper Cloth does not offer this pinpoint weave, so we used a washed oxford instead, and the shirt was made with a split yoke and an angled pocket rather than reproducing every Drake's detail exactly.
A pure cotton oxford in a plain off-white, woven lighter than a classic heavy oxford and washed after weaving so that it feels soft and partly broken in when new. It keeps the faint basket texture of oxford, breathes well in warm weather and should soften further with washing.
