Green Cotton Oxford Cloth Button-Down Shirt
Drake's sage green oxford button-down follows a shirt that has been part of the menswear wardrobe for about a hundred years, and the firm treats it as central to its range. It is made at the Drake's factory in Somerset, cut to a regular silhouette and sewn with single-needle seams. The collar has a brushed, floating interlining so that it rolls softly rather than lying flat. It is meant to be worn widely, with tailoring or on its own.

Washed Moss Lightweight Oxford
We chose a solid washed oxford in moss green as the closest match to the sage of the original, keeping the plain oxford texture and the all-cotton make. To match the original's soft roll and floating interlinings, we used a soft button-down collar with soft barrel cuffs, a front placket, mother of pearl buttons and a shallow curved hem. Where Proper Cloth's options differ, we went with an angled chest pocket and a one-piece yoke. The design as made does not list a box pleat at the back.
A solid moss green oxford in 100% cotton, woven from fine two-ply yarns and lighter than a classic heavy oxford, though listed as medium weight. It is washed before sale, so it feels soft and broken in from new, and like most oxfords it should soften further with wear and washing.
