Stone Wash Cotton Chambray Button-Down Collar Popover Shirt
This is a long-sleeved popover shirt in a stone-washed chambray of cotton and linen, made in Italy. It takes its cue from the long history of chambray as a hard-wearing cloth, worn on factory floors and on university campuses alike. The half-opening front keeps it casual, and a button-down collar with a brushed floating interlining gives it some shape. It is cut with an easy, relaxed drape for warm weather and informal dressing, and finished with twin patch pockets, a back box pleat, a locker loop and rounded single-button cuffs.

Blue Chambray Washed Linen
We chose a washed blue linen chambray because it comes closest to the original's soft, faded denim-blue colour and its slightly irregular, broken-in surface. We kept the popover front, the soft button-down collar, the one-button barrel cuffs, the curved hem and the mother of pearl buttons. Proper Cloth offers no linen-cotton chambray of this kind, so the cloth is all linen. We also chose a single square chest pocket over the original's pair of patch pockets.
A lightweight plain-weave chambray in pure linen, woven from 14s single-ply yarns. Its slubby yarns in several shades of blue give a mottled, natural colour, and the washed finish leaves it soft. It breathes well, creases readily and is meant to be worn unpressed.
