Brown Check Brushed Cotton Two-Pocket Work Shirt
This is a work shirt in a brushed Japanese cotton, made in Somerset, England. It takes its idea from the plain utility shirt and is meant to suit both the workshop and the weekend. A large brown check with a fine overcheck is set off by two flapped chest pockets, a long point collar and a curved hem. Fisheye corozo buttons and single-needle seams complete it, and it is worn open over a T-shirt or buttoned as a light overshirt.

Jackson Tan and Brown Country Plaid
We chose a slubbed cotton twill in a large tan and brown plaid, because its rough, rustic surface comes close to the brushed, slubbed hand of the original and its colours sit in the same earthy range. We kept the soft point collar, one-button cuffs, front placket, two flapped chest pockets, curved hem and natural corozo buttons. Proper Cloth offers no pointed-flap patch pocket like Drake's, so we used its safari pockets, and the cloth is a heavier twill rather than a brushed flannel.
A heavyweight 100% cotton twill woven in Portugal from thick 10s yarns, with a slubby, uneven texture that feels rustic and hard-wearing. It carries a large plaid in tan and brown with a vintage look, and it suits colder days and casual wear with denim or heavy chinos.
