Light Indigo Cotton-Linen Popover Work Shirt
This is a dressier version of Drake's long-running popover, cut on the house's casual block and made in Somerset. The cloth is a Japanese blend of cotton with a little linen, rinse-washed to a light, faded indigo. The shirt keeps the workwear features, a one-piece yoke with box pleat, a locker loop and twin flapped chest pockets with a pen slot on the left. The long point collar and mother of pearl buttons smarten it. It is meant to be pulled on over the head and worn loose, as a casual shirt with some polish.

Portuguese Slate Wash Indigo Chambray
We chose a washed indigo chambray from Portugal because its light blue colour and slightly irregular washed surface come close to the rinsed, faded look of the original. We set the popover front, one-piece yoke, single-button barrel cuffs, curved hem and mother of pearl buttons to match, and used utility pockets for the twin flapped chest pockets. Proper Cloth does not offer a cotton-linen version of this cloth, so the shirt is pure cotton. We used a soft point collar as the nearest option to the long point collar.
This is a pure cotton chambray woven in Portugal from 20s yarns, of medium weight, with a soft, smooth hand. It is solid indigo, washed to a slate blue with some variation in tone, and it should soften further and fade gently with wear and laundering.
